Desperately need help!! Herpes or what?????

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Might I start by saying that I am on the verge of going crazy with this issue. I have no health insurance, no money, and no time to go to the doctor. about a month ago I developed this really big rash on the vaginal and buttocks area (which i believe it to be from a maxi pad) after that went away i soon developed a smaller rash on just the opening of the vagina (on both sides). It was very painful, and even though it has diminished a little bit, I always feel some discomfort there. I had like red bumps and 1 paper cut like sore on each side of my labia. Also on the area between the vaginal opening and the butt another paper cut like sore keeps reocurring. The first time i got this last cut mentioned was right after i had some rough sex, but I havent had any sex lately and it keeps developing. Well, just when i thought i was getting better and all was well, I got those three paper cuts again a few hours ago. I dont remember doing anything to trigger it, except for belly dancing, but i honestly dont think it cause it. I have also had for about 2 weeks, a  cloudly colored discharge that doesnt smell, and minor itching. They told me that if this was to be herpes, it woundnt last so long. And they also told me that this sounded like a yeast infection that has been left untreated, and the longer u take to treat it, the worst it gets. If anybody has any information at all or any kind of help or similar experience, PLEASE help me! Thanks 4 reading all this and God bless!

That sounds like what I had and it was a yeast infection and herpes type 1.  The cuts are going to continue to make the yeast grow.  My only relief was when I got diflucan and valtrex.  Keep it dry, I usually use the blow dryer after my showers to get it dry.  You REALLY need to go to the doctor.  I know you don't have the money, but your hurting yourself in the long run emotionally and physically.  Do you want kids someday?  You want to make sure it isn't anything that could possibly lead to being infertile.  Go to Planned Parenthood or other free clinics.  I know it is scary, trust me, but we can support you.  And if it is herpes, it is really not the end of the world.  I know that is hard to hear now, but you will feel better physically and emotionally once you know what is going on.  Good luck!!!

Thanks, it was really bothering me.  At this point she is not happy with her situation so right now I don't need to pretend.  I love that she feels she can confide in me and seek my advice but its so hard!!  To hear her say how big of a mistake this is and how unwanted....hurts.  Blondie, glad you got your BFP so soon after the sister situation.  I really don't want to end up resenting her.  DH and I were trying to have a relaxing time ttc this month....not anymore!!!!  Kidding----well not really!
Thanks ladies!!  Tons of baby dust********

I know the feeling.  That happened to me and my sister.  I lost a baby that I wanted so badly and here she was in a bad marriage and she got pg and was so miserable the whole time talking about how she did not really want another baby with him.  I started to feel jealousy when I lost mine and felt pure hatred toward my own sister.  She also smoked and drank coffee like there was no tomorrow and I thought I did EVERYTHING right.  I found myself asking why did I lose a very much wanted baby while she got to keep hers.  Well I did get pg again rather quickly and I did manage to get over my feelings and I love my niece to pieces.  Your feelings are perfectly normal and in time you will be able to be genuinly happy without the jealous feelings.  Take care and hang in there.  I wish you luck in TTC.   Good Luck

It sounds like an external yeast rash much like babies get when their bottoms have been exposed to moisture and it has irritated the skin.  A red raised rash develops.  My pediatrician prescribes Lotriman ointment(over the counter in the powder and medications area of a place like Kmart or Walmart) It can be used for jock itch or athletes foot because yeast is a type of fungus.  It ususally clears it up after 2-3 uses. Go to the Pharmacy and buy Resinol it helps keep moisture out and drys up the irritation.  You will spend 10.00 on all of this.  and the products  will last forever.

You seem to have several different symptoms the really need diagnosing. You sound so scared and miserable. Have you tried the E.R. idea? Most community hospitals can't turn you away based on your inability to pay on the spot. You would be treated and billed on sliding scale. You just make a payment every month..And as long as you make an effort, even if only 50 cents per month (seriously) they won't bother you about it or send you to collections. There is also the option of calling your county health department. You can recieve FREE treatment if necessary and get the appropriate tests that you need.
I know you said you don't have the money for a doctor. The fact is you need one and these are ways to get the medical help you need. Please give it a try.

Sorry to use this thread.....I need some words of wisdom!!!!

So I got a phone call today from a family member....she's pregnant - almost 7 weeks.  It's a bad situation all round, BUT, she's not sure what shes going to do.  It kills me....I mean we lost a baby, I want a child sooooooo badly.  And someone (I love her to pieces) isn't careful just happens to get pregnant.  She will have hard time making a decision and obviously I'm the wrong person to seek advice from, my DH and I have a nice home, good jobs, tons of love to offer a baby and boom....it just happens for her.  She will be an amazing mother - there is no question in my mind.  I just couldn't help but cry after I hung up with her.  I want it so badly and for her, well, she doesn't want this AT ALL.

It's been on my mind all day.  I even said - If DH and I happen to get preggo this cycle.....we would be off on mat leave together, the babies would be so close in age....that would be so fun!  She didn't think that was as exciting as I did!!!!!

Anyway - just had to get that out ;)

That sounds like what I get.  I don't ever see a rash but I have noticed a little itchy spot in the same place whenever I am on my period and after wearing a pad for a week or if my underwear have creeped up I notice it after a few days.  I don't think that sounds like herpes.  I think it is a little chafing (sp???) or something.  The only thing you can do if it scares you that bad is go to the dr.  Find a way to make payments or something.  You have asked this before and noone here can tell you. You just have to get tested.  Try to come up with 5.00 and post it in the STD forum and see what they say or just go to that forum and read and see what it says.  You can also do a google search and type in HERPES and it will bring up sites you can look at.  Good Luck.  I hope you get the answer you want.

I would suggest to be on th esafe side, go to the ER in your area if nothing else is financially possibe for you. I also am struggling financially and needing a Hysterectomy so i know all to well the financial burdens and trying to deal with female issues without financial means.

Well, maybe that is part of the problem. You bellydance. When you get home, do you automatically take a shower. I am not about to say to stop what you are doing. I bet you look good though with the dancing. You could have this problem and the dancing is causing it but by all means, don't stop doing what your doing. Take more care though with your hygeine. I am not saying that your not but pay more extra attention then what your are doing. I would say to put powder but powders with talc can cause yeast infections so be careful. I am sure that there are powders in stores that are available for you.
In the end, if you don't find relief, you do need to see a Dr.

My question to you is have you went to a Dr for this and have you been tested for a STD? That is the first thing for you to do. Other question is, what is your profession or your fun life. Do you work where you sweat alot which can cause a severe rash. My husband was an aircraft mechanic and he would sweat sometimes tremendously. A day later, he would break out in heat rashes on his butt and you know where else. Also, if you dance alot or other activites where sweat is trapped, it can definatley cause a rash. I would look into these factors also.
Look into the first one and if that is negative, then look to others.
