Diet Pills

hello all...
i was wondering if any of you could recommend (or not recommend)a certain brand of diet pills that are good. typically, i do NOT like taking ANY type of pills and will even avoid basic asprin. desperate times here. i have always been thin, skinny and was even made fun of growing up being called "bones".
after the birth of my girl, the weight has stayed and i feel gross. i keep blaming my belly on my cesarian section and i can only use that excuse for so long. 5 yrs is pushing it!!! LOL!!
i am 5'4 about 138. i will admit, i do not eat healthy nor do i exercise. sometimes i will go on what they call a 3 day diet which has worked for me and is healthy, but i feel like i starve myself and get crabby. i have also been on slimfast but again, the same thing. i have never tried diet pills but am willing to at this time. i am not overly huge, just flabby in my belly.
any suggestions?????

I've been committed to my daily exercise. Also, I am very conscious of what I eat. I eat a lot of veggies and fruits. I avoid, foods that are greasy and high in cholesterol. I make sure I eat fiber-rich foods.

My progress is still slow when it comes to losing weight. So I had to give in to diet supplements. I made sure that I only use all-natural ingredients. I used Liproxenol based on what I read in Yahoo. Also, on reviews and customer feedback.

After 2 months of using this diet supplement, my metabolism has steadily increased. I've been making progress. I get to lose at least 2lbs per week. It may be slow for some but it's something that has made me happier these days. I hope there will be more people who can share their experiences with their diet supplements. If it has worked for them or not.

I also took those diet phen pills last year and this year. OMG, they were awesome, but you get addictive to them. Next thing you know, you have to take more and more of them to get the same effect, then just to do anything. My house was immaculate for a few months, and I did lose weight fast. But it is short lived. I gave them up when I started having really bad chest pains near my heart. Instead of taking diet pills, try St John's wort. It's an antidepressant, makes you not think of food so much, and helps to curb your appetite.

When I was jump starting a diet program I used Ripped Fuel from GNC, I can't remember what it cost, but I only bought one bottle. I had a lot of extra energy on that stuff, but it was enough to curb the appetite and get me into the diet routine.

I eat a lot of sun flower seeds. they help me not eat as much. i try to have my last meal early. that ways my body has time to burn some off before i go to bed and it just absorbs in my a%%. I swear, I got so many strech marks with my kids, if they'd go back together I'd go down 2 sizes! Just remember burn more calories than u take in. Common sence. yeah, right huh? I eat blow pops too. I love food, so I don't deprive myself. I just use a plate my kids got at walmart with scooby on it . It's small. ANY diet pills are bad in my book. I will suffer the rest of my life because of them. They make u so revved up! Your brain has a hard time. that's what happened to me. now my brain skips a beat and it causes me to have a seizure. Please be careful if u do. I know it's hard after having kids. I went from 125 to 235 with my first. then 10 months later 2nd I was at 240. I have worked my butt off literly. i am at 130 5'7 . I feel good, cause I know how hard I worked. No miricle drug is out there. I looked. You are a great weight for your height. Try lifting and toning. It will make u feel better. You don't need to lose weight.

Phentermine ~ I noticed other people posted about it. The brand name (Adipex) costs about $60. The generic (Phentermine) costs me $43.

I lost 75 lbs. on it which enabled me to start exercising without the pain of having the extra weight.

Unfortunately, due to other medical problems I ended up gaining a lot of weight back, but I don't attribute that to the Phentermine use. I still recommend it.

oceans u dont sound fat to me, but u sound like my friend who moans about her weight and trys to pinch at some while I stand there literally like a balloon in comparison. Maybe all u need is a tone up. Ive read and heard on exercise progs u cant target weight loss. Maybe just like others said, change one thing, like next time ur daughter and hubby goes kite flyin, make sure u go! Sounds like u missed out on some fun there! ;-) Ive tried diet pills but exercise is the key. That 10 minute dvd sounds a good idea, it might give u the taste for more like going to a gym if u can afford it etc. I bought a lateral thigh trainer, I like it. Dont use it how I should but its good, u do a lot of toning and exercise use a lot of calories. If ur already pretty fit u could do both the workouts on the dvd.

I wouldnt mind some of that flat cleaning pill tho! My flat needs the once over! Where can I get some!!!

P.s. oceans dont stress, bet ur bella!

thank you for all of the positive comments.
i do know diet pills are not the route to take but i thought if someone knew a brand that was safe, i would try them. 138 pounds may not sound like a lot but when i used to bee 125 (before child) it is a lot. i just feel gross. hey..i had a salad for lunch today! i also like the idea of using a childs plate because my portions are usually pretty big.
what about that dexatrim? i always see ads for that?

Please just bear in mind that whilst short term any diet pill will probably work - you will always put the weight back on and the cycle will continue. You need to exercise and burn the fat (but it doesn't actually sound like you're overweight to be honest). Eat more fruit and vegetables as these have virtually no calories and really good healthy carbohydrates - eat as much as you want and exercise. Once you have gotten down to your goal weight you just need to stay there for at least 12mths and this will train your body to accept it as your new metabolic weight and will only shift slightly up/down from there. Yo-yo dieting is THE WORST physically AND psychologically on your body. Go easy on yourself though. Don't feel guilty just walk it or run it off!!!

In college, I gave one to my roomate one day. When I came home from class, not only had she cleaned the apartment, but she REAARRANGED the furniture, as well!!

I took phentermine, and it worked great.  It's the "not so bad" half of Phen-Fen.  Granted, no diet pill is good for you, but neither is smoking/drinking/etc.  In conjunction with exercise, it does work.  For me, the kicker was that it curbed ALL of my cravings.  I didn't eat from hunger, I ate from cravings.  And for me, once I get into shape, I can easily maintain.  I just needed a jump start.

It's a little more than $40 a month.  It's more like $60...you can purchase online, but I'm a little scared of that.  You can go to a Bariatrics doctor and they can prescribe for you and you get it from your actual pharmacy.  Scary, my insurance covers diet pills.  Doesn't cover birth control, but covers diet pills.
You don't need to use them for very long, though.  It will make your heart race and feel funny...thus, the reason they are abused.  Definitely an upper, and yes, Andi, my house was SPOTLESS while on them.

Oceans, you're so not fat.  138 is the perfect, curvy weight.  Men don't like bones....(at least mine doesn't).  Marilyn Monroe had it going on.  Size 12.

I agree, you aren't overweight. Damn our society for making women feel that way.

Oceans, at 5'4" and 138, you're not overweight. Start walking, and just go as far and as fast as you're able. It won't be long before that tummy will be gone.

There is also a great dvd out there called the 10 minute solution. It has 5 different types of workouts that you can either do one at a time or customize the order if you want to do more than one. It is awesome.

I agree with mslkpage's first comment, diet and exercise are the only real ways to lose weight and keep it off. Simple changes can make a world of difference. Things like cutting out sugary soda or juice, eating smaller frequent meals, getting out and walking, all great ways to help.

I am not going to lie, I have used some of the OTC diet meds in the past but the results are short lived. I have found the only real way is to overhaul my overall eating habits and fitness routine. Get your daughter involved in the workouts, my oldest is an excellent personal trainer and he also serves as a great 50 lbs weight, lol!!

Please take my advice about this. I felt the same way u did. I had 2 c- sections. I was so depressed. I started taking diet pills. yes, I lost a lot of weight, but I gained all of back and then some. I also suffer with seizures now. All due to vanity. I have to take medication that cost $600.00 a month. Just to keep me free of them. If I didn't have such good insurance now I wouldn't be able to afford it. Even with it it's $80.00 a month. Please, Please, please  don't. I started tae-boe. It's a lot of fun. Hard, but fun. It really works. I ought to get paid to advertise. Although I'm not a sexy mama yet, I'm working on it. I went from 150 to 125 in 4 months working out and eating what I wanted just putting it on a childrens plate. that way I don't eat so much. I eat a lot of sun flower seeds too. It keeps my snacking under control. Good luck!
ps I tell my kids it's luggage they left behind!

No, these are a prescription medication...umm...I can't remember how much a month would cost, but no- they're not cheap. I think a one month supply would be around $40.00.

They are amphetamine-based, so you could probably start with 1/2 a tablet in the beginning. And your house will be super clean by the end of the month, too! :)

Well, you know the answer that makes the most sense is to tweak your diet a bit and start getting some exercise, even if it's just walking. If you want to target a certain area, you should get some cardio (like walking), and start doing crunches. In the long run, this is your best bet.

But, if you're not ready to commit to that, Phentermine (generic Adipex) has been around for a long time. It's just a short-term fix, though, not a long-term one.

I'm expecting to receive some "shame on you"'s for suggesting it, but you can order it online.
