Discharge and odour

I have had a burning feeling down there for a couple days now, and a bit of itching. Today it is worse, and there is a fishy smell. Any idea as to what it could be? Is it something serious? I have never been sexually active and am in my early 20s. If it is an infection of some sort, is there any way to get rid of it without douching and without medication (I don't take medication unless I HAVE to). Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!

No, there is nothing you can buy yourself.  You need a prescription.

sounds like BV, get to a doctor before it gets worse. The meds will clear it up in a few days and you will be back to normal!

I HAD BV LAST YEAR
IT'S VERRY UNPLEASENT
GET YOURSELF TO THE DR. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE
YOU HAVE, ALSO YOU SHOULD ASK TO BE SCREENED FOR PID
THEY WONT UNLESS YOU ASK.
IM GOING BACK SOON TO HAVE THAT SAME TEST
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF TILL THEN .

The itching and burning sounds like a bad yeast infection.  The bad odor sounds like bacterial vaginosis.  You definitely need to go to the doc because of the odor - you need a prescription to get BV cleared up and if left untreated it can turn in to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID).  Don't play around with this.

Good luck!

Thanks for the responses everyone. The more I read about it, the more I think it is BV afterall. Is there a non-prescription cream (or something else that I don't take orally) that I can pick up that would treat BV? I am really nervous about going to the doctor, and would rather not go if I can avoid it.

Its best to
have a dr. medicate
than yourself

you dont want to put a hex on your future love life,
also the guy/girl who gave it to you
needs to get the same treatment or you
get it again.

This is kind of embarassing. I forgot to add that there is also discharge, and quite a bit. Mostly it is a really thin white liquidy discharge, and occassionally it is more creamy.
