Does anyone know the symptoms of Liver Damage from Alcohol?

I think I'm too young to be having liver damage from drinking, but in my last post "vomiting every morning after drinking..not normal" in the "Women's health" topic forums, thats what the majority of the people think is wrong with me..
so i was wondering what the symptoms of liver  cirhosis are..

First of all, once your liver is damaged by alcohol, it cannot repair itself. Once damaged, always damaged. The cells die.
Second, azzawazz, I don't know what school you are going to but you need to take a class in spelling or English. Really hard to read what you wrote, man.

Dear everone

im at pressent expericence liver pains im an 18 year old student and must admit have been drinking heeps latley 5 times aweek at my mates flats etc. now that i no theses pains are comming from aroud my liver i have stop drinking before its too late and so that my liver can repair its like %98. Basicly why im saying this is because i got past the point when my body rejected achole which means after the stage were i would throw etc from drinking too much. my body was at the stange were i had to drink alot to get drunk compared to average people my age and also when i did get wasted i would not ever chuck up. Now this dosent make me some kind of a hero or anything what it does mean is that i think liver problems happen around this time or start to happen aroud this time.

so if this sounds like you stop drinking let your liver repair its self eat healthy and workout. then after 8 weeks if you still wish to drink drink in modoration or if you like drinking to get drunk (like it did for the buzz) then limit your getting wasted nights to once ever 2 weeks preff saterday like normaly non acholic people :-)

I scrolled down to look at your other post I am interested to know at what time during the day do you take your contraceptive pill. The reason I ask is because you could be vomiting it back up before it has dissolved and worked it's way  into your system. When I was on the pill I was always told to use an alternative method of contraception for 14 days if I had been sick as it may not be effective. You need to be careful if you are not pregnant and don't want to be pregnant; I also would also suggest a different form of contraception that won't be unreliabe if you have been sick.
Best wishes

Good for you! I think you will be just fine. If you are pregnant, consider it a blessing. Maybe this will help you stop drinking! I know when I got pregnant the first time, I had to stop smoking and I am so glad that I did. I feel so much better.

Good for you for setting up a doctor's appointment. Definitely stop drinking until you know if you're pg or not. If you're not, you should still consider cutting back on your alcohol consumption. If you don't have liver damage, you will eventually. Not to mention the toll it will take on your looks and modeling career. At 18, it's so easy not to worry about the effects substances have on your body, but you won't be 18 forever, and time seems to fly faster with each year. Good luck to you!

Well, actually  Im not having those bloating or yellowness problems at all..I am actually a new model..
I didn't drink last nite but I still felt ill in the morning, but I did not vomit this time. If you read my first post about thinking I might be pregnant..I helped my friend move today & she thinks Im pregnant too (shes a mother of 3) so she didn't let me lift anything, but when I did my stomach would hurt, my back  has been hurting all day, & my breasts are beginning to get sore.
Either way, I am goin to the Dr. next week for another pg test & I will tell my dr about my drinking & get my liver checked out too just to make sure.
Thanks for the  advice :)

jaundice looking is definitely a sign. you would look pale or yellow in color. and your skin gets really bloated, especially in the face and around your midsection, althouh everything will bloat. you would not look like yourself at all. it is the body's way of letting you know that it is not flitering out the poisons properly. if you are throwing up everyday, you may notice as you become an adult that your stomache will become weak.
it's interesting that the above poster says her neighbor needed dialyses because of alchohol abuse, it causes conditions similar to diabetes, right ???
someone close to me died from kidney and liver failure at the age of 22 because she didn't seek medical help when the above symptoms surfaced (she was pale yellow and bloated for many months) she was a binge drinker.

now, I dont think anyone here is trying to scare you, I just want you to see that behavior is potentially dangerous, and you might need to make some changes. it's not a big deal!!! just slow down a little, limit your drinking to the weekends, and don't drink to the point of passing out or getting sick. it's a very fine line, don't cross it and you will be okay!!! you can have fun! you just need to have balance.
