Douching

My friend and I got on the subject of Douching. I told her I would ask the question here.

Is douching good or bad? If it is bad why? If it is good why? How many times a month is good or bad? Before or after a period? Just when needed? Don't do it at all?

It depends, really. The problem with douching is you're pushing bacteria up in to the vagina, and by washing things out you're knocking your natural balance out of whack. You're putting yourself at a rick for yeast infections.

Vagina's are self-cleaning, and your body knows what it needs to do to make sure the vagina is clean. This naturally balanced all the bacteria you need down there. The only cleaning you really should do is soap and warm water on a cloth on the outside of your crotch to keep clean.

Still, it's really your decision. Some women have problems, some don't. I would say don't run the risk---I don't douche---but to each their own.
