Dr.'s Pregnancy test.

Hi, my period isn't due until tomorrow, but I couldn't wait and I tested yesterday. It was ----, after doing the test I read the box and it says that the test should be done the day after your missed period. I have been experiencing alot of pregnancy symptoms, so I decided to test at my dr's office and the urine test came back ----. After I explained my symptoms to the nurse, she decided to do a blood test. Since my period is not late is it possible that the dr.'s urine test was not sensitive enough to detect any hcg hormone, or am I delerious and imagining all of the symptoms that I have been feeling? I would love some input. Thanks, sticky baby dust to all!!

i did a urine test at my doc's office and it came back - but the blood came back + my hcg level was only at 25 and it has to be a 50 to show up on the urnie test so i had just gotten pregnant like a week before the test good luck

I took the 5 days early test by first response I think thats what it is called.  It worked for me.  I was feeling PMS symptoms and it was around 5 to 4 days before my period was to come and it came out positive.  Good luck to you!

First, justlittleolme....I agree on that.  I have 2 children, and am pregnant with my 3rd.  Every time I thought I was pg, I wasn't.  The times that I was poppin' midol for cramps, I was pregnant.  I suggest that you buy an EPT that says '5 days sooner', or EARLY RESPONSE is supposed to detect the smallest amount of HCG.  Take it on 9-15, and the result should be accurate.  Be very carefull to follow exact instructions and read the test within the recommended time frame.  I took 2 early response tests that were positive the day I should have started.  When I went to the doctor for my first exam, they said they didn't need to do a pregnancy test, because the hpt were as accurate as theirs.  Of course, the ultimate accuracy would be the blood test.  Your result should get you through the weekend.  Let us know!!

yeah sure its positive, but like the previous poster says, our bodies can play "tricks" on us. I cant tell you how many times I have been SURE I was pregnant because of all the symptoms.. then when I WAS pregnant my only EARLY symptoms was feeling like my period was coming.. lol

good luck to you!

It was a cheapie, and I read the box after I tested and it said that the test should be done atleast 1 day after your missed period. My period isn't due til tomorrow 9/15. I am trying to conceive, I have 2 little boys and they both were surprises. I didn't put much faith in the home test after reading the box but I assume that the doctors preg test would be more sesative like the ones over the counter that detect pregnancy up to 5 days before a missed period. I won't have the results of my blood test until monday. I feel like I am going crazy!!!

If your TTC your body could be playing games with you.  Or you could be pregnant...the results of the blood test are the best to go by.  What HPT brand did you use?  Some you can test up to 5 days before a missed period.
