I had an ectopic pregnancy that got ruptured. I had to undergo a surgery on July 23.  saw my period on August 19, about 4 weeks after. However I saw some blood again on  september 2 and this has continued. its bright red, looks and feels like normal period but am not so sure since i just saw my period 3 weeks ago. is it possible dat its my period or is it another thing?

Ectopics will show up on hpt's. Actual blood tests show better if it's an ectopic. The hcg levels won't rise like they would with a normal pregnancy. I have had 4 ectopics and they all showed up postive on hpt's. Your body will still make the hormones, they just won't double like in normal pregnancy.

oh wow.
I didn't realize that some ectopic pg's don't show up on pg tests!  I have heard, however, that once you've had an ectopic pg, you're 25-50% more likely to have another.

same problem except no ectopic preg for me. I had a period on aug 3 and bled again aug 18. no period for sept yet. I do have a question for you though. Are your tubes tied? Did you take a HPT to find out you were pg? I've heard some pg tests don't pick up on ectopic pregnancies.......I've taken 4 and all neg.  I've yet to find an answer for my problem but will let u know if I do.
