Fibroid

I didn't have a fibroid on a US in Dec toke 3 months of Lupron and now on a US and CT in April says I have a fibroid. I thought Lupron stops them from growing and or shirnks them? Anyone else have this?

So are you saying that a fiborid  could have grown from so small not seen to 3 cm in the 2 weeks that Lupron increases the estrogen level. That seems to be a fast growing one then?.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Lupron Depot is a synthetic version of naturally occurring GnRH. In combination with iron, Lupron Depot is used before surgery to help improve anemia that can result from excessive bleeding due to fibroids. Lupron Depot works by decreasing the amount of estrogen that your ovaries produce. After beginning Lupron Depot, your estrogen levels will increase for 1 or 2 weeks. During this time, you may notice an increase in your current symptoms. You should notify your doctor if you develop any new or worsened symptoms after beginning Lupron Depot treatment.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
