Frequent urination

Hi everyone! I'm new here. My name is Reem and I'm 20 years old.

For the past couple of days I keep having to go to the bathroom like every 10-20 minutes. When I do go a little will come out. Sometimes it is a really yellow color, while other times its clear. Also, it seems to be foamy/cloudly/smokey..however you'll put it? lol but that's only sometimes. A couple days ago I drank a lot of cranberry juice and the next day I was back to normal, but now I feel the urge to urinate a lot, and it's mostly at night time. It's feels like a burning/itching sensation but when I actually urinate I feel fine. Just a bit uncomfortable.

Any ideas what it could be?

I would of posted this in the urology forum but it costs money to!

this does sound like a urinary infection. I get tons of them. Have had one for two months and the antibiotics are doing nothing. Z pack works faster but is very expensive. I am taking a sufa drug that VA prescribed. See your Dr for some advice.

It is veryy painful, i had it for a while, but drinking lots of water and PURE unsugared cranberry juice and especially cranberry pills (which i highlyy reccomend) did wonders.

My uti's never went away with simple cranberry supplements.  I always needed an antibiotic as well as uristat to help with the blazing pain.  OUCH!

If this seems to happen a lot, you may also want to look into taking a mix of goldenseal and echinhea(sorry about the bad sp).  It'll help raise the immune system and is really safe for long term use. :)

Thanks guys! Yeah I was thinking it was a UTI as well as I've had several minor infections like this before. I just wasn't so sure.

My brother works at GNC so I'll tell him to pick me up some of those cranberry pills.

I've been drinking the Ocean Spray Cranberry juice. Not sure if that is the right  one or not. lol it says 100% juice.

Yes it DOES sound like a urinary tract infection. If you are going to treat this with cranberry - please do NOT use the cranberry cocktail garbage you get at the grocery store. It has about as much cranberry as peanut butter.

Get some cranberry extract pills from the health food store, or if you want to buy juice, make sure it has no sugar in it, as sugar defeats the healing properties.

Don't worry about it tho - we all get these infections at one point or another and they're easy to clear up.

It sounds like you have a simple bladder infection. (UTI) If you go to the Dr. they can do a simple urine test and then give you antibiotics. It should clear up in a few days. (I'm not a Dr., this is just what it sounds like to me. I have had several.) Good luck
