I thought that I had removed my tampon then I tried to put one in and then I thought I felt a second one in there so I cleaned my hands then checked didn't feel one then I checked again today and I think that inside of my vagina might be inflamed can that happen I'm still on my period also when checked it felt very uncomfortable when I did I don't know why   Btw I took 3  Ibuprofen  just in case I'm right about the inflammation

My advice to you would be to stop using tampons and start using sanitary towels. Tampons are just too dangerous.

If you suspect there is any part of an old tampon stuck you need to get into see a doctor. Having a tampon MIA up there can cause severe infection and sometimes, if untreated, cause you trouble conceiving later on. You may need antibiotics if the doctor finds and extracts a tampon.  Good luck to you!
