Heavy period or miscarriage?

I'm 24 & have a steady boyfriend. We were using the withdrawl method and in March I was very late, but then I had a very light period in April. It lasted for about a day and I started to take a pack of the microgynon pill I had left from another time.
I took it for two weeks and then started to forget (I'm a terrible pill taker). Last Thursday i started to bleed very heavily & it's also very painful. My usual period is around 4 days max with some pain on the first day and heavy then and gradually easing off, however this has been very painful with clots & very heavy bleeding. My temperature has been up and down too.
I know if I'm late it can generally be heavier, but this is like nothing before.
My friend said I could have started the pill while pregnant and not realising & now I'm having some sort of miscarriage. I didn't start to bleed until 4 days after my last pill.
I'm really worried but don't want to have to be examined by a doctor. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks

You need to go straight to the hospital. Miscarriages are extremely painful. My was worse than the birth of my 3 children. If you did the withdraw thing than your chance of being pregnant is very high.Since you toke the pills without knowing if you were pregnant first you maybe having one. It also maybe that the pills was no good & are having an effect on your body. Either way it's best your checked out. If you did have one they may need to remove the remnants of it so you don't have more problems to come.

Hello! I agree with MrsWoodard. What you describe do sound like a miscarriage. You need to go quickly to the doctor and be examined. You may need a D/C to make sure youre clean in the inside. Please dont wait to be examined, you dont want to deal with infections. Good Luck.

In April it sounded like your were experiencing implantation bleeding and not a menstual cycle at all.  Releasing more blood than you normally would yells out that it's time to go the EMR quickly.  Having a miscarriage at home and without any medical help can be very dangerous.  Best wishes and God bless as well!
