Why was there a tick in my vagina?

I just pulled a tick out of my vagina... It had not latched on yet so its head was still on its body. It was squirming on its back and now im freaked out. Could I have more down there? Why was it there? could that make me sick? Was my breathing hard, fever, and nausea earlier the cause of a tick down there?

Tick's are classified as small arachnids (spiders). They attach themselves to mammals and feed off of their blood. When they get on a person or any mammal for that matter they will burrow their heads into the skin to feed.

What if the tick attached? What is the symptoms? My dog had a tick on her back with the sac. I removed it and she got a shot and was on meds to protect her from limes disease about a week ago. Yesterday 5-26  I woke up fine then after work I felt pain in my left side of upper leg that hurt to touch and on my inter tight it felt like I had a rash the hard and inside my vagina there is a spot the hurt. The next morning I couldn't hardly walk with out hitting the pain was down my legs, I was having hot flashes. The first of the week I got a blood shot eye and had a headache all week behind my eyes and a lot of pressure above my eye brows. The doctor says he thinks it's arthritis in more low back that is getting worse and the pain in my head is sinus.  What do you think?  We live in a wood area and go for walks in the woods down to the creek.

Hello~~Try not to worry too much, if the doctor isn't concerned and has done some tests, then you are probably fine and it is the arthritis and sinus. However, if he/she hasn't done any tests and you continue to feel badly, then I would go back and let him/her know what is going on.
If you explained that you live in an area where you are exposed to possible tick bites, the doc should have Lyme disease on his or her list of things to check. Be sure the doc knows you think you could get exposed.
That would be a bad place to pull a tick out of.  I might have a heart attack over that but understand it can happen.  Agree that it would be hard to see if you have the traditional bullseye marking of lyme  disease in your vagina. If you begin to develop any symptoms, that would be something I'd definitely tell your doctor about as Anniebrooke says.  I have been to high tick areas and as a person that is not a fan of the little buggers, I follow the protocol of being mindful of grassy areas, tree areas, wild type areas.  There is a spray you can put on your clothing to help deter them. And I'd do a shake out of your clothing when undressing and a body check.  Good times, as if we don't have enough to worry about these days.

First you need to calm down, every thing will be fine.

After you removed the one you found I am sure you looked to see if you could find anymore. If not go ahead and look, my guess is that you will be clean. Ticks like warm, dark, moist places, that is why you found it down there. As to wear you picked it up that I could not tell you.

Since the tick was not attached then you have nothing to worry about. The only time a person can get sick from a tick is if has been "attached" to them, even then that does not mean person will catch anything. If the tick was never attacked then the symptoms are not related.
