Help!!! Implanon question

Hi! I’m 24, and weight 312lbs. Was 345 but I’ve been working on it and that’s where I’m at as of now. I’ve had had Nexplanon for 3yrs (well it’ll be 3yrs next month)....I recently had sex with my bf and the condom broke...does anyone know the effectiveness of nexplanon in overweight women? Since it expires next month does it really not work anymore? Or do they actually last five years? Or should women take them out after 3yrs? Because I’m overweight does it work less or run out faster? I’ve started getting my periods again but I read that could happen around like the 3rd year or does that mean it’s not working anymore?

Kinda freaked. Stressed. Please help! Thanks!

Your implant still protects you at two years 11 months, and even if you are overweight. (Congratulations on the weight loss, by the way!)

Yes, I agree. You've got your birth control in place that should protect you from this event.  Get it up to date next month to make sure you continue to be covered. I have read several sources online that state it will not interfere with the implant if you are overweight or have a weight change. So ,you should be fine sweetie.
