Help please

Hi, I am 23 years old and have been bleeding for a month now very heavy, ranging from bright red blood to dark brown/black blood. The doctor gave me two lots of tablets to stop the bleeding but this hasn't worked. I am not on any contraction and haven't been for a few years now as I had irregular period a lot and coming off the pill stopped this. I have also had very bad pain in the pelvic area and have been in bed most of the time due to the pain and tiredness. Please can someone give any advice? As I'm feeling worried about what the cause could be

dark brown/black blood is old blood and not active bleeding.  However, I do suggest you see a doctor to find out why you are having this long term spotting.  Is there any odor, by the way?
