How to gain weight

Hi I'm a 21yr old female I'm 5'4 and weigh like 106lbs. I'm very solid and tone (naturaly) so I look smaller than what I weigh. I would like to get some kind of information on a healthy way of gaining some weight. (It is hard for me to put on weight)I would like to put on at least 8 pounds. Thank You

Hey jstew86, see that's the thing I'm already tone enough don't wanna be to toned. And no I can't develop fat quickly. It actually takes years for me to gain a pound lol. But imma try and eat more protein and carbs with the work out and see how that goes.    * Thanks for responding*

Best thing to do is load up on carbs and work out (muscles) weigh more than fat. Seems like you can develop fat quickly so you should load up on protein and carbs and work out at a gym to build muscle in your arms and legs.
