To thatquietgirl, Yes they've been scattered, I took the 1st one 2 days before my missed period, 2nd one the day of, the 3rd one 3 days later, 4th one 1 week later, 5th one a week after that and the last one a week after the 5th one.
To specialmom, I do have appt to see my doctor next week. And I assumed they were pretty accurate but I have read so many post where women had gotten neg results but still they were pregnant. I talked to my pharmacist and a online doctor and was told  that no matter how far along you are you should still get a positive result if you were pregnant as long as you follow the directions correctly. And thank you for your advice.

I would guess you aren't pregnant if you get negative pregnancy tests.  HCG doesn't begin to taper off until after 12 weeks gestation.  And even though it goes down, the vast majority of women will still get a positive result during pregnancy.

Again, HCG levels continue to rise throughout the first trimester until 12 weeks but then begin to slowly taper off---  but never going away.  Most women can get a positive result any time throughout pregnancy that they take a test even with the decreasing levels of HCG (as even at 40 weeks, the hormone is still present).

So, based on the time frame you describe would absolutey have HCG at high levels in your urine if you were pregnant.  If your period continues to be late---  I would see your doctor for an exam.  I was 3 months late for a period of time (period every three months I should say) in my 20's due to a slow thyroid.  good luck

Rather than assuming, I will ask: have these six tests been scattered over the past month?  If they've only been recently, you may no longer have hCG in your system and may need an ultrasound instead to determine pregnancy.

I have used first morning urine every time and its been 8 1/2 weeks since my last period. Lately I have been having hot flashes and night sweats like you wouldn't believe and I'm normally a very cold natured person.

They tend to be fairly accurate if used correctly and used at the right time frame after the possible conception.  They are most accurate if used with first morning urine, so if you have not tried that, I would suggest it.  If you have missed a period, I would suggest going to your gynecologist to have a blood pregnancy test done (more sensitive than an HPT and can detect earlier) as well as some more tests in case it isn't pregnancy.  Stress, illness, change in diet or exercise patterns, hormonal changes, etc., are some causes of a delayed/missed period.
