Huge Blood Clots during Period?

Hello all, I'm 17 and I currently have my period. About six days ago I started my period. So far everything went fine, until yesterday. I know blood clots are normal, I have them often during my period. This time it seems a little odd.
The jelly like stuff are usually bigger than they normally are. About three to four inches in lenght and two to three inches in width ( a guess ). It is also accompanied by a LOT of blood.
I have to change my pads every two hour for two days now. I seem to be bleeding too much ( ? ) since two pads would be filled and used in just two hours.
Currently I'm a little light headed, dizzy, and have a slight head ache. Which I normally don't feel when I have my period. I have been back and forth to the bathroom dozens of time, and the blood and the clots seem to be getting  worse ( or more abundant ).
I am quite nervous right now, and I think I need some major help. Help?

Tell your mother. You might need to go to the ER. Please don't wait, it could be very serious.

If you really feel something is wrong you should seek medical advice. Trust your gut. I have had to go to the doctors before with other medical problems and felt silly afterwords but the doctors always always say it's better to get these things checked out. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. :)
