I Need Some Help

I am a 26 year old woman and about two years ago I stopped getting the depo provera shot. I have a medical history of irregular periods and by the time I stopped getting the depo provera shot I had been taking birth control on and off since I was 18 years old. Currently I bleed almost completely all month long. It stops for a day or two and then starts up again. It's not very heavy about 90% of the time, but occassionally it is heavy. I weigh about 360 lbs. (give or take a few pounds) and am 5'6" in height. My husband and I are trying to conceive amidst all of this and it's been a year without anything to show for it. I have no health insurance so I am going to a clinic that gets government assistance because that's the only thing my husband and I can afford. I need some help and not just to be told I'm fat and need to lose weight because that's not the only answer. I live in the real world and I know what I am and yes, weightloss might do me some good, but it's not the only answer. Any advice?

Thanx very much! I have an appointment with a clinic not too far from my home that I'll be going to. I think it's stress, but u can never be too sure and I will make sure that there is nothing seriously wrong with me, other than I worry too much lol. I'm very worried and hope it is just stress because my whole life all I've wanted 2 be is a wife and mother! I mean I have aspired to be other things too, but those 2 things top the list! Thanks for the concern and the encouragement! Take care and God bless!

Bleeding all month long doesn't sound conducive to getting pregnant! Have you had an exam to see what's causing all of the bleeding? It's possible that there is some sort of underlying structural issue here. Maybe you have fibroids or polyps or something? Ovarian cysts?

If I were you I'd find a clinic that takes your type of health insurance and see about getting a complete pelvic exam. If that happens, I'd maybe push for an ultrasound of the reproductive tract. They are inexpensive and a quick way to look at structure.

I wish you luck!
