I need your help!!!

hi. I'm sixteen and I'm sexually active. Well not really active i wouldn't say. I am on birth control. I take my pills everyday at the same time everyday. Lately, i haven't been taking them at the same time and some days I'll take two because on other days I'll forget.  While using the bathroom today I noticed a reddish brown stain in my underwear as if I started my period but I'm no where near close. Is this normal? Should I be worried? What should I do?  I  need your help please! Because I heard that that was also a sign of pregnancy. So please I am very scared.

You should NEVER take more than the prescribed medication.
Taking 2 pills because you have missed a day of taking it can be very dangerous and it is probably this that has messed up your period times.

It is possible to get pregnant with "messing around" without using any contraception, especially if the man's pre ejaculate is strong and the woman is ovulating at the time.

The brown/pink/red show is likely to be your period coming because not taking the contraceptive pill regularly.

The other possibility with having the brown/pink show is a threatened miscarriage.

There are some home pregnancy tests that claim to detect a pregnancy as early as 2 days after conception.  If you do use any pregnancy testing kits, make sure that you read the instructions and follow them carefully to get an accurate result.

The other alternative is to wait and see what happens.

Remember - NEVER take an extra dose, because you missed one.

this sounds like out break bleeding because of the irregular pill taking you should not be taking two pills in one day because it does not work as you skipped a day and if you are trying to not to get pregnant this will not protect you from getting pregnant. If you are not comfortable on the pill and you are forgetting to take it because that easily happens maybe you should consider using other methods such as the implant. Do whatever works best for you. To stop these random spots of bleeding i would start taking the pill properly again.
good luck !

Yes, me and my boyfriend had intercourse on the 2nd of May. We used a condom but we messed around a couple of times before without it before we had sex. For a couple of weeks I haven't been taking my pills correctly and some days taking two a day. Today, yesterday, and the day before I was bleeding a brownish stain and cramping. I was thinking it was because of stress because I've been really stressed these past three days it has happened. But it's been like a dark brown then iin the morning it would be very light but it will be red. I'm really scared I'm pregrnant. Could I be? I mean we used a condom.. ???

I meant did you have sex any time in the month when you saw the breakthrough bleeding.  In other words, if you had your last period on the 20th through the 25th, and then took your pills irregularly, and then had some breakthrough bleeding on the 5th, it would indicate that you had not been effectively protected by the pill since the 25th or thereabouts, not merely since the 5th   If your pills are not effective in a given month, you could ovulate.

Read your package insert, it explains about not counting on your contraception in a month where there is breakthrough bleeding.

I would not take the period you're beginning to see as a sign you are pregnant, but would take it seriously as a sign not to have sex unless you use back-up protection like a condom.

no I didn't have sex durning the break through bleeding because it just started and it freaked me out. Each day it's getting to be more like if it was the beginning of your period but it's brownish instead of red.

Also try not to miss the days because it's not good to be taking two of them in one day more than once or twice. At least that what my doctor had told me when I use to be on them.

It sounds like you have had some breakthrough bleeding from the irregular pill taking.  The instructions that come with your pills will describe this, and you can also call their 800 line or look up FAQs on their website.  Usually breakthrough bleeding means, don't have unprotected sex in the month when it occurs, because it might indicate your hormones from the pill got low enough that you are not protected in that month -- you could ovulate, if your protection from the pill is too low.  Did you have sex in the same month that you had the spotting?

All you should worry about is who is going to take you to prom.... If you have been taking your pills correctly and haven't missed a day you should be fine but your only 16 and your body is still changing enjoy your youth kid!

Best of luck
