Hi there! I read all of your posts and thought it would never happened to me, and it did. I lost my baby boy 3 weeks ago through placenta abruption. I was 36 weeks pregnant, and needed immediately medical and surgical attention. My baby boy was removed through a c-section of which i lost alot of blood and needed a blood transfusion right away. This is really a bad time for me and i felt like why this has to happen to me.
Please tell me how do you guys manage your lifestyle after going through something like this.
I also lost my baby boy at 34 weeks due to placenta abruption. However, they never determined what happened to cause the abruption. After the abruption I waited 2 and a half years to get pregnant. The entire pregnancy was nerve racking but I did give birth to a healthy daughter that is now 8 months old. I continued to see my normally dr. but he did send me to the see the high risk dr. towards the end of my pregnancy.
After my abruption my dr. told me to weight 6 months to a year before trying again.
If your abruption was caused by a blood clot then they will more than likely put you on a shot of blood thinner that you have to give yourself everyday.
I hope that everything goes great for you next time around. I know the pain of seeing that full term baby born and your hopes and dreams for that person go out the window. I sure hate for people to have to feel that pain.
Good Luck - MB
