I'm 4 months pregnant with a badly broken leg

I had an appointment with a orthopedic doctor today, and he told me I need surgery to repair my broken leg ASAP... but I'm 4 months pregnant. I'm 37 years old and this is my 1st pregnancy. What are the risks to my baby if I go under general anesthesia??

People have surgery during pregnancy all the time.  I think it will be fine.  Definitely be sure you do this with the OK of your ob-gyn.

I would call your ob and ask the risks and let them know what's up.  Your ob may request to consult with your surgeon.  Good luck and hope your leg gets better.
