Infection???....a light pink mucousy period??

I am 39 yrs old, and pretty healthy. I have had several period this past year that were so heavy I was confined to my home for 2-3 days. That subsided in Feb. and it has been pretty normal.
This last period was really weird, it started really slow. Spot here and there and very light pink in color, then when it finally came on it was light red, almost pink and very mucousy.
That lasted for 2 days and then it was ok. light in color and light bleeding. That never happened to me before. I know(despite what the doc says) I am premenopausal. I have night sweats, moody as hell and want nothing to do with sex.
I am also very sore inside and out and I do have a bad odor.I am crampy also in my lower stomach region
I think it might be more than a yeast infection, I did call the doc, but sometimes they take a couple days to get back to me.
In November I was checked for fibroids(ultrasound) and had a biopsy done. Everything was normal. Could this be hormones?
I do not use anything like douches or tampons, I had a terrible scare when I was younger with Toxic shock, so I am very careful. I had a tubal 12 yrs  ago after my forth child. I know that has nothing to do with it but FYI. I am under alot of stress, maybe that might have something to do with it...just thinking as I am writing, Thanks, help anyone?????

Hi,

This post was interesting as I am 29 years old and have just started a light pink 'period'. I have been under a great deal of stress lately and suffer with IBS as well, so the fact that I am 10 days late was put down to that. A pregnancy test came back negative when I was 7 days late, but I intend on taking another this week.

There is no smell from the pink stuff.. My vagina is sore, but again, no abnormal discharge. It just feels really dry and hurts.

Any ideas?

Do you hurt and cramp before and after your period? And what I mean is stabbing cramping pains in your lower abdomen?Did he say if yor uterus looked normal in size? When the ultrasound was done, did they do it internally or on the outer area above your pelvic? The reason why I'm asking is becuase an internal ultrasound shows more clearer.I had a hysterectomy last year in March.I had endometriosis. As for the light mucousy period,I can't say,I'm concerned more about the cramping in the lower abdomen. You need to see a specialist, like a gynecologist.Make an appointment as soon as possible O.K.Take Care Of Your Self.TNT406.
