The cause of irregular periods could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, chronic illness, polycystic ovarian disease, thyroid gland disorders or diseases, pituitary gland tumors or cyst, galactorrhea, prolactinomas etc. You should consult a gynecologist and get examined and investigated if the irregularity in periods persists.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
I when to the doctor last month and she schedule test to be done to see what is wrong. Today I went to the doctor to get my test results back. The only thing that was abnormal was my slight deficiency in Vitamin D and I have a high Testosterone Level of 104... so she referred me to a Endocrinologist which I will go to at the 20th of this month. To make sure I do not have cysts on my ovaries. From what I have read only I might have POCS. However I will see what the Endocrinologist says and what he recommends to do next.
Also, my mother says that do to my high carbohydrate diet (I'm trying to gain weight I have gained 4lbs so far) and eating sugar is the reason I am infertile. I did some research of my own and they thing she was talking about only affect obese women with poor health over all.I doubt sure that this is the cause of my problems. I don't eat a lot sugary things only when I was very little, I exercise regularly, and I have a high metabolism. The test results of my blood sugar and cholesterol was normal. I eat healthily 90% of the time and I was lossing what before I started my weight gaining diet and I had spotting on August 24-25. I started taking NOW Female Balance and Prenatal vitamins daily 3 weeks ago and it helps a lot. From what the doctor described as the symptoms that means that I have always had a high Testosterone level, but my old doctors never did any test they just asked if I wanted birth control pills which won't solve my problem. I really want a none medication required why to fix this...
And my Thyroid was perfectly fine too.
