Try a tablespoon full of olive oil every day. Either on food or just from the spoon.

Sure, it can.  My son has severe constipation.  First thing he had to do because it became impacted almost like a bowel obstruction was he had an enema.  Not his most fun experience ever but necessary.  Then hit was recommend that he drink a cup of grape juice daily.  He does this and it really helps.  Extra fluids will also help.  You need water to keep it all moving properly.  The other thing he does is he drinks a small probiotic smoothing that is like a regular brand yogurt drink bought in the dairy aisle at the grocery store. This really has been beneficial.  Surprisingly so.  I'd read it about it and finally he tried it and it's helping his digestive tract tremendously.

Tell us more about your particular situation and we'll help.

Ya Myself nowadays experiencing this problem...I am taking lot of water and banana daily to prevent this, but it doesnt works!!!
Oh, bananas are not good to stop constipation - they can CAUSE constipation.  When children have diarrhea (not cause by an infection or parasites) it is often suggested that they go on the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast - to help firm up stools.  Try something with a bit more fiber.  Anything with whole grains will help, along with probiotic yogurt as specialmom suggested.
