Severe pain in left nipple

For the last several weeks I've had a hypersensitive left nipple. Not the Areola, just the upper left part of the nipple. Like getting stabbed if anything touches it. Ibuprofen doesn't help at all. It didn't happen over time, it literally happened one day as I was sitting on the couch. Wham, searing pain. After a couple days it subsided but then came back. Once in a while I feel it gets pain from my armpit to my nipple. I can pinch, poke, push the Arreola, the breast, and nothing. I can touch the nipple on the tip, nothing, but on the 1 o'clock spot, like I got a third degree burn. I'm terrified. I've seen and read the net and now I'm panicked.

Well, why don't you go see your doctor? You might have mastitis or a blocked duct. No point in sitting around being terrified.
