Becky, CNA that is a 0.05% chance of getting preg. with a vasectomy. The same is also true for a tubal.
If I was your sister I would get it checked out. My husband had a vasectomy in 1999 we did every test and we finally got the all clear in Jan 2000, in February 2003 I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant with our son. We found out that the vasectomy had failed and he had a low but pretty good sperm count considering he'd had a vasectomy. We are now trying for our 6th bub. So I would get it checked out if I were her. There was a billion to one chance of the vasectomy failing after the 1st 12 months. Any way good luck to your sister.
Yes you can still ovulate and get your cycles. There is a 5% chance of getting pregnant within the first 10 years after a tubal.

Correct. You still have the ovaries and therefore still ovulate. It's just that the pathway for the sperm to get to the egg and the egg to get down to the uterus has been cut/burned. Chances of becoming pg, although I don't know the percentage, are very very low with the tubes being burned.
yes u still ovulate...the tl just prevents the egg from migrating to the uterus.
