Is this normal?

I started spotting last Tuesday.  It was brown and werid. Finally really started yesterday. But if things go like they have for the last few months I will only bleed for about 3 days then spot the brown stuff for a few days then I am done.  I was wondering if this is normal or what?

It's very difficult to say a period is abnormal. Every woman is different, every cycle is different. Menstruation, like other bodily activity, is affected by everything from the food you eat, to the job you do, to the people you are around every day. Different medications (especially birth control) can change your cycle. Infections to any part of your body can affect the way your body runs. If you start exercising more or less than before, if you start taking a new vitamin, virtually anything can make your cycle different than it was before, not to mention different from your mom's, your sister's, your best friend's or complete strangers' cycles. A normal period is anywhere from 2 to 9 days long, occurs anywhere from 19 to 42 days apart, and can be very heavy, very light, or a little of both. The time to worry is when it disappears completely, gets unbearably heavy, or causes a great deal of pain. That would not be normal.

I am sexually active. I have been with the same guy (my husband) for almost 12 years.  No birth control. He got fixed right after our last child 8 years ago.
I have never really bled very long, 5 days at the most.

Are you on Birth Control or sexually active? Your hormones in your body could be changing. I have done this serverl time and freaked out. If you are really really worried about it set up a appt, with the GYN. But from what little information you giving it sounds that you should be fine.

Remeber this is only my opioin!! I could be wrong I am not a doctor!!!

Good luck!!!
