LGSIL - 2nd one

Hello,

I had a pap last November that came back with LGSIL.  The dr. did a colposcopy but didn't see anything to biopsy.  I just had another pap and it's still showing LGSIL.  The dr. said to wait another 6 months and then get another pap and colposcopy.

Is there anything I can do to make this go away?  Should I be worried that I will get cancer?  I do have high risk HPV.  I am not sexually active which is why this is so puzzling to me.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Rose

hmm have you ever had sex with anyone? even though you may not be sexually active now. Also there is nothing YOU can physically do to make it go away, I had the same problem the doctors did the colposcapy(sp) and the biopsy but the next time i went back it was cleared and gone. Now i have gotten the HPV gardasil shot so i will be protected.

Yes, I have had sex before.   I did have a hysterectomy 2 years ago but it was because of fibroids and a huge ovarian cyst..  I didn't know that you could get the shot after you were diagnosed with HPV???  I wonder if I should try to find a doctor that will give it to me.

My gyn did a colposcopy but said there was nothing to biopsy.  I don't know, I'm just scared of it turning into something worse.

Can you tell me how long your pap said LGSIL?
