Katie,
I'm sorry for assuming you lived in the city. I used to live in the country myself and know how difficult it can be.
You have mentioned several things since this thread started that suggest your problem is unique in several ways. If you would like to contact me off line I'd be glad to help after asking more questions than this already long thread can bear.
I highly doubt needing the transfusions. Anemia, yeah probably. I'll think about it, but I'm too young to be in debt
You have to do something. I mean really, if it was me, I wouldn't care about paying right now, I'd find a way to get to the ER. After what I went through needing a ton of transfusions and being severely anemic for months afterward, I don't play anymore. I get that stuff taken care of immediately.
And we most definitely do not have a planned parenthood. Although there's a couple in the state capital, but that's too far away and the one taxi service won't come up here. When I lived closer enough to use the taxi, they charged $10 to go a half mile.
I wish there was a low cost obgyn near me. I live in a very very barren area so any doctors, especially obgyns, are specialty doctors that make you pay out your nose. Pretty much only because they know they can because they're the only ones for miles.
There has to be a low cost or free Obgyn in your area. My wife bleeded for 5years straight. She had to get her laying burned and tubes tied. But she started to bleed again and she is going to be go in to get a partial hysterectomy done now. We are still planning on having given my body takes the ICI
Hi do u know any women oldee than you whom you can talk to. Mayb thwy can suggest something
There's a difference between helping and talking down to someone loves. Remember that
I have been dealing with abnormal bleeding since I was little, it's never had any rhyme or reason. Back when I used to have insurance, they had me try all sorts of different birth controls to try to find what works, at 18 they put in mirena, which I had to go to the ER to get removed. Ever since then, the abnormalities have only gotten worse.
Sassy no need to be rude. Do you even know where I live? I have no money to call a cab. I didn't ask for criticism, I asked if anybody has dealt or treated this. Same old saying, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all
You could be severely anemic at this point, it's very urgent that you get to an ER as soon as possible to assess your blood levels because you may need transfusions at this point. I did, after only blessing for a week. I can't imagine bleeding for 2 years!!??! without going to a doctor!? That's crazy! I would worry about payment later, do you understand that you could die?
Almost every urban county, or compilation of rural counties, have Health Departments. They charge per ability to pay. No car? Call a cab or tap a friend on the shoulder...that's a very lame reason to let a serious problem go for two years. Help yourself help yourself before you wish you had.
Of course I know it's bad. But where I am, there is literally nothing in any of the nearby towns. Plus I don't have transportation. The one time I went to the hospital, they didn't give me any answers, wouldn't waive the fee, and now I have $1000 bill for it
Bleeding for two years straight is BAD. For a lot of reasons. You need to get checked out and if you don't have insurance then try to find a free clinic or go to Planned Parenthood. Good luck.
