Late period and really bad cramps

Okay so my period is usually pretty regular and I don't get that bad cramps but I've noticed recently that the week before my period I've started getting really bad cramps. My period is now a week late and I have really bad cramps still. Is this normal ? (16yrs old)

It's normal If your not having any sexual relationship.. but if you are in a relationship you may be pregnant
