Late periods, thinning hair, mood swings, only 33

I am 33 years old...for the past few months my periods have been considerably (about 7-8 days) late (i have always been on a 28 day cycle...since i started my period at age 12!). my bangs are getting very thin...and my moods are very high and low. i have had 3 children.  any insight as to what might be causing all of this??  I ofcourse am going to the dr. but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this?

It may be related to thyroid. When you go in, they'll probably do some blood work. Some medications cause similar symptoms. Not sure if you're on any.

Could also be related to testosterone level, but your doctor will probably do a full hormone panel.  I had high free testosterone that appears to have resolved itself over time and it gave me acne, thinning hair, some unwanted, unusual hair and a deeper voice than most women.  The acne and the unusual hair resolved but the voice and thin head hair never came back.
