Menstrual Cramps and Mucus Plug? I'm not PREGNANT!

So my boyfriend and I had unprotected [i'm on the pill] sex last night. He didn't finish, I did, but he didn't which is nothing unusual. But today I had some random light cramps. Then later tonight I was masturbating and after I orgasmed, I looked down and there was a glob of mucus in my shower. I googled images of mucus plugs and it looked identical to some. It wasn't bloody but it looked like a lot of them. Now I have not missed my period. I am due to get it next week. Because of these symptoms... what should I do? I've already planned to make a doctors appointment but it's 3 am where I am and I just want a few answers before I try to sleep. Thanks!

I have the same problem. A few days before my period I pass jelly like mucus, abdominal cramps, and slight bloating. All my test have come back normal and I have only one working fallopian tube. Who knows? If you find out please keep me posted.

Me too.... Around the time of what should be my ovulation, I always have "boogery" /thick and bulky discharge that looks very much like a mucus plug--I am not pregnant and this has happened for several years now. Any reason why ?? My gyno never comes with an answer or blood tests never show problem-although I do have only 1properly flowing tube...could that be part of the reason?  --thanks
