Menstrual Cycle

I had a miscarriage back in 2011. I had to keep getting my blood treated every week after because to see if my pregnancy hormones went away. Every since then i have been having irregular cycles. Now in 2013, it has been 3 or 4 months since I had my period. When I went to my doctors appointment last week they ran a pregnancy test and it came out to be negative. But this past week I have been spotting and when I take a shower small little blood clots come out. So I'm wondering what is wrong with me?????

Hi there and welcome.  Well, sorry for your miscarriage.  Those always stick with us in terms of emotions surrounding them.

What did your doctor say regarding your lack of period for 3 to 4 months?  You aren't pregnant so something 'else' is causing this.  I had very long cycles for a time period in my late 20's due to a slow thyroid.  Actually it was every 3 to 4 months!  and I had pms symptoms during that time.  Quite frustrating.

Could you finally be having a period?  Could this be some kind of break through bleeding?  Did your doctor do any blood work on you besides the pregnancy test?  What did he/she say was your next step?

My doctor dud blood tests he found nothing. I am  now currently 24 going on 25.  The only thing my doctor said was I had an abnormal pap smear and that he is going to refer me to go to an gynecologist

Well, that sounds like a good idea.  Ob's handle pregnancy (but here in the states, they are ob/gyn's both in there training so you see one for everything).  But a gynecologist will help you figure out what is going on.  The abnormal pap smear needs immediate sorting out.  That could be involved.  good luck dear and let us know what the gyn. says!
