Menstrual afbnormalities and which tests to request....

I am currently 7 days late for my cycle, I have taken a few HPT's and they are all negative. Today I began spotting brown. I have all the symptoms of my Cycle but it doesn't come.  I had an ultrasound on Tuesday and go to see my doctor on the first.  I am wondering, since pregnancy is ruled out and I am concerned about fertility (we have been ttc for 11 yrs, successful once) which tests should I request of my doctor, I live in Canada so I don't have to worry about cost.  Any ideas what else would cause this?  I usually have a 30 day clockwork cycle.  Thank you for you input.

the ultrasound should show if you are having any uterine problems....endometreosis, interna, cysts..etc. if that comes out fine it might be that you are anemic. i am not a doctor i am just a little familiar with these menstrual problems. how old are you? do you have bad menstrual cramping and mood swings? i had alot of problems for years and then one day my period lasted for 4 straight weeks. doc ordered ultrasound and found endometreosis interna. since my childbearing years are over and i am 43 yrs old and severely anemic i had a vaginal hysterectomy 9 days ago. that's just my story and everyone is differenet. i pray all goes well with your ultrasound. sometimes the doc can do a d & c and that might fix the problem or some kind of hormone pill for 10 days. good luck to you and keep us posted. there are no doctors here but there is support here. lol
