Sometimes you can be given hormones to stop the bleeding instead of having to have them surgically removed. I just worry if it is not the fibroids if you haven't had a PAP in the last year or so or that it could be your ovaries. I think it is probably fibroids though but it would be best if you get at least a pelvic exam and PAP smear unless you had that done recently. Are you bleeding heavily or spotting? My fibroids don't make me bleed yet. But I have two friends that had bleeding. One got anemic and one was treated with hormones. Not sure other than a famiily practise doc or gynecologist. My family practise doc found my fibroids and sent me for the uterine ultrasound. I don't know how expensive they are.  You may want to visit the FP and pay for that and then get the uterine ultrasound done at Holy Cross if the FP thinks you need to check it out. The FP or gyne can give you hormones if necessary. If you are very tired you could be anemic.

Oh, one thing I thought of today is that women our age get uterine fibroids and sometimes they bleed. I have them but mine don't bleed but I have pelvic discomfort off and on.  They do  a pelvic exam and can send you to get a uterine ultrasound. That may also be the problem.

I agree you need to get a pelvic exam and PAP smear to make sure you doing have any problems. It is not normal to be off your period (menopause) and then suddenly start up again. Maybe a uterine ultrasound as well.

Definitely go see your doctor. There are other possible causes of vaginal bleeding and you'll want to make sure everything is still okay.
