Negative HPT after c-section?

I'm in a bit of a pickle. Mostly because i'm extremely impatient. My period is five days late, and i'm rarely late. I've taken several at home tests, which were all negative.. My daughter is two years old, and i had a c-section with her due to my blood pressure rising & dropping rapidly. the first time i tested with her, i was about 6 weeks, i just didn't even think about mother nature forgetting to bring my gift during that time period, but now - i'm fully conscious about it all, and i'm beginning to wonder.. is it possible that i'm just one of those women who produce very low levels of the pregnancy hormone until i'm farther along? or could the c-section have something to do with it? i'm sorry if this seems a bit silly, but i can't help but wonder.

i'm also having a substantial amount of whitish discharge, more than i would usually have around the time of menstration, i spoke with my advice nurse about this - and she suggested a yeast infection perhaps, however i have no other side effects. (e.g. foul smelling, itchy.)

any help would be greatly appreciated. :) thank you.

ok well like i said if your getting a negative hpt its not because of your c section. get a blood test...that will tell you for sure and no more guessing or waiting

hi kim. thanks for the response.

my husband and i have unprotected sex about 20 days out of the month, and i'm positive we did whenever i was ovulating. we're not specifically trying, but we're not NOT trying either. :) we have the mindset of, if it happens, it's happens, and we're happy with what God will give us, i'm just curious as to why this may be, that's all.

thanks again! :)

you c section has NOTHING to do with if you were pregnant again and not being able to get a postive hpt.

you did not sway why you think your pregnant other htan your periods five days late...you said your "rarely late" as in you are late sometimes. like are you having unprotected sex? did you have unprotected sex while you were ovulating? are you trying for another baby again?

your not getting a postive hpt. and you did talk to a nurse....get a blood test
