PCOS

Does anyone have any information on PCOS? I've been doing some research about it but I wanted to know if there are any women on here who suffer from it. I am scared it could be what's going on with me. Or some other thing. I've gained quite a bit weight the past few months and I haven't been on birth control in about 6 or 7 months, but yet me and my husband are still not about to get pregnant. I have had lots of trouble with ovarian cyst in the last few months also. Anyone got any information?

I don't have lots of information.... just that I've been recently diagnosed with pcos myself. The doctor told us it's still possible to conceive it just will take us longer than a regularly ovulating woman because pcos is also a hormonal imbalance so ovulation is irregular. One symptom of pcos is gradual weight gain from puberty on as well as difficulty losing weight. Another symptom is male hair growth. Birth control can help control the hair growth problem. Other than that the biggest help my doctor gave was to tell me to lose weight. Losing weight helps your body ovulate more regularly
