Pain in vulva during pregnancy

lfb
I am 21 weeks pregnant and am experiencing moderate pain and discomfort in my vulva area when I am standing or sitting for long periods.  I am worried that it is a sign of premature labor or something.  I think I am carrying really high like my last pregnancy, so I don't know if it could be from pressure or not.  I have had these similar pains around time for my AF since I had my son 3 years ago.  Is it just something that happens after you have had a baby or should I be concerned?

I agree with the above poster. But in addition to that, it could be from more blood to that area due to pregnancy. You can also experience vericose veins internally. Which makes sense because when you stand, the blood is pulled downwards. Best wishes, tmv

A lot of women experience the pain you are describing when pregnant or afterwards. Some even find pregnancy stops the pain. Look into vulvodynia. It does not harm the baby in anyway, just makes things painful for you. It's possible some nerves in your pelvic region are being pinched or irritated.
