Pains in my stomach Please help.

Occasionally I get these sharp deep pains on the inside of my stomach. It's not the pain of being sick, it feels like somebodys putting a knife inside my stomach and twisting. Sometimes they get really bad to where I to put myself in a curling position on the floor, it helps relieve the pain,I don't know why. Other times I get the pain and its not so bad but I feel I have to bend over on a shorter table and it relieves the pain as well. The only thing I can find that helps the pain go away within 5minutes is Peptmozbizmol (I KNOW I spelt that wrong. It's the pink thick medicine that tastes like gum (^_^) ). I just want the pains to go away I don't want to keep taking a medicine that helps relieve it temporarily. Please help.

It might sound stupid, but are you on a diet? Sometimes hunger pangs can be crippling to some people, and a shock if you're not used to it. Also, could it be ovulation? Not really in the stomach, more to the side and a little lower, but could be mistaken for the same area. The compression would help that, but not the Peptobizmol, so maybe not, it was just a thought...

I agree with KristyMc89, it sound's like an ulcer if it's from your actual stomach area (some people call their bowels their stomach). I really think you should go see a Doctor, especially if it's been going on a while. I wouldn't try taking anything else at the moment. Just do whatever you can to ease the pain when it happens and don't get too stressed and do try and see someone about it.

If Pepto Bismol helps, then it you're probably right about it being your stomach. Stomach pain like that could be caused by an ulcer. Stomach ulcers are now known to be caused by bacteria, so simple antibiotic treatments can cure it. If the pain persists, see your doctor and get a diagnosis. If it's an ulcer you could be feeling better soon. Good luck.
