Pebble sized lump on vaginal area

Hi, I am 18 years old and I am sexually active. I have not had sex in about 8 months though. Four days ago i found a pebble size lump under the skin on my vaginal area about half an inch above my clitoris. About 2 days ago it started develpoing what looks like pus inside it. The lump hurt a little at first but then it started hurting more even when it rubbed against my pants. There was no itching in the area. Today it popped open on its own and a little pus came out. There is now a very tiny hole maybe the size of a needle hole. It doen't hurt as much as it did, it actually feels a lot better. I am going to be making an appointment with the obgyn but i would like to figure out any information as soon as i could.

Don't worry - these are SO common, I've had them and there are so many people worried about them, but they are mostly always fine.  Apparently having a low immune system can make them happen, so maybe you've been run down recently, stressed, sick or not eating properly?

I get those occassionally as well.  It shouldn't be anything serious.  My doctor informed me that they were caused by wearing tight pants and/or underwear.
