Is it possible to get Pelvic Inflammatory Disease without coming into contact with semen or pre-ejaculatory fluid?

Hi there and welcome.  Yes, actually it is very possible.  Say for example you leave a tampon in by accident, that can lead to PID.  Basically PID is a infection of that area internally.  It can be very serious ad requires a doctors visit and antibiotics.  Please see your doctor if you are worried about this.  good luck

Thank you! Do you know if PID can also cause swollen lymph nodes/inguinal pain, inner thigh pain, and groin pain?
