Perimenopause

I've been getting major cramps since I've started perimenopause I saw a midwife ( no gynocologysts was avalible ) about it and I was fobbed off and I was told to take ibuprofen and I told her that I've tried that along with everything on the market and I was told to take ibuprofen before I get my monthly and to come back in 9 mos.
Since I can't get help from a doctor ( or anybody else in the medical community ) does anyone have any ideas of how I can stop this pain? because I am litteraly doubled over in pain with these cramps.

I can't wear anything tight it makes it worse. Fortunatelly I didn't get it this month so I'm getting a break from the pain.

My cramps got worse during peripenopause and some women have heavier periods as well at this time as well and this did happen to both myself, a friend of mine and also my sister.

Are you the same lady that is due to have a hysterectomy?  At least then you will be able to let go of period pain.

Have you tried wearing something tight around your belly?  A long ace bandage would work for this.  I noticed back when I was cramping, having something tight like snug jeans over my belly made it feel better.  If you are living with a partner, have sex before work, as this helps a bit also, odd as it sounds. - Blu

Thank You so much I've used ibuprofen before but it didn't work at all and I'd love to use the water bottle idea but more than half the time when it hits me I have to go to work that day work that's why it's such a problem.
I usually take Bayer aspirin for it because it's the only OTC that works but for the past couple of months it hasn't helped much and the cramps have gotten much worse.

Geez, I am sorry to hear that you are unable to get the healthcare you need, and that you remain in such pain.  Take the ibuprofen anyway.  Get a hot water bottle.  When the pain hits, just curl right up with that hot water bottle and BREATHE.  The heat from the bottle will relax your muscles where you need it the most.  Remember not to put the bottle directly on your skin: put it over your shirt or wrap it in a thin cloth first.  Blessings - Blu
