Period While Pregnant?

Hi,

Well on June 30th, I was showering with boyfriend and some of his semen might have entered me, though I highly doubt it. The only other way would be for it to drip down and land on my vaginia. It's bascially a stress mess and I intend to take a home pregnancy test which should show pretty accurate results (I'm hoping) since it's been more then a month since then. I'm hoping.

Anyways, on July 20th I had my period. It started out being brown, some cramping especially when I had coffee. Then it turned bright red and was pretty normal, though slightly lighter then ususal and it lastest a pretty normal amount of days. Also had some dark red, blood clots amongst the blood. Plus when I uriniated (sorry for excess info) I had some either clots or the lining of my uterus in the toilet which was quite a bit if it was blood clots.

I've heard lots of stories of women getting their period even when pregnant and I'm so confused. Then they say if you miss a period after having unprotected sex or a chance of pregnancy, then take a test.

What happens if you don't miss your period?
Does it sound like I could be pregnant if I have a period like this?
If I have my second period in August, since the chance of pregancy incident, does that mean I'm not pregnant?

Please help I am very confused and would love for someone to clear it up for me.
Thank you so very much for any responses and help!

I just read your other posts and from those I doubt even more that you're actually pregnant. The odds that sperm would have gotten inside of you (in a shower none the less) are very slim, if not impossible.

The odds that you're pregnant sound like none, unless you were having sex in the shower. It is physically impossible to have an actual period while pregnant, just because of what it actually entails. Every month your body will build up a lining on your uterus to support a growing child. If the egg remains unfertilized, you shed this lining and get a period. If it does get fertilized though, it will attach to the lining and start to grow. You cannot shed this lining during pregnancy, otherwise you miscarry. The baby needs something to grow on. Many women will confuse vaginal bleeding (which is very possible to get) to a period just because they assume blood=period. I've seen women who have had spotting call it a period. From what you've described, I doubt highly you're pregnant, but if you want to take a test you could.
