Period or Withdrawal Bleed

Hi, I'm not sure of what to think. LMP was 14th oct and is a 28/29 day cycle. I took EC on 22nd oct after protected intercourse and I started bleeding on 28th oct and its like a normal period feeling those large pads within 3 hrs and I have abdominal cramps and lower back pain (like having my regular PMS) I'm not sure if this is my period again (ovulated again at start of Lmp?)
If its not my period, then why it is so heavy??
do I still need to test for pregnancy? Thank You just very worried why I'm bleeding a lot

No, you don't.  It's been two weeks.

Sounds like a complete explanation.  When I was on odd lots (and lots and lots) of hormones for IVF, bleeding was sometimes anyone's guess.  Once I was on progesterone and taken off, and a period was supposed to come in two days.  It came in two weeks.  The clinic was calling me every day and asking where it was.  lol

Hey Annie, I checked with the doc that prescribe me and he said its normal but refuse to elaborate why and just told me its due to a lot of hormones

I have heard that after emergency contraception, one can bleed in a way that is unusual.  You might check the website or the toll-free number for the emergency contraception you used.  They should be able to tell you if this is just a reaction to it.
