Period won't stop

I started my period last week. It went on for the normal 5 days, stopped for a day . Now it's back again I have had it for almost 3 weeks now. I am very tired . Has it got something to do with the blood loss.

ive got the same problem.I have been bleeding for 8 months with only a months break.before this happened I had my period every 3 months for about a year.so I don't know if its my uterus just shedding all that tissue that hadn't shedded.
@Chiccybabe81  I have had the same issue. I use get a period every three months now I have been bleeding for at  least a year. Its like a light period one to two pads a day and then I'll come on my regular cycle. Except this last time it has been so Heavy I used 52 pads in 2 days, clots were huge, like baseball huge. I then started getting really tired, zero stamina, I would walk a very short distance and my heart would be pounding and  I couldn't breathe or catch my breath. Like a dummy I tried to go to work and couldn't make it to the front door without almost passing out, shaking, couldn't catch my breath. They called an ambulance and I thought for sure it was my heart or something.  Come to find out I needed a blood transfusion. My hemoglobin was at a 5!!!! They did a pelvic ultra sound and said I had Fibroids in the Uterus. They gave me 3 units/bags of blood, got me to a 7.1 and sent me home. A normal level is somewhere between 12 or 14. I am to follow up with OBGYN who is wanting to remove my Uterus. I am 45 years old and already have Grandchildren , I do not want another child and am too old.  Its really scary and I have found that the older you get the more worse it gets and the crazier your periods are.

I was feeling the same way! I was bleeding for days one end and it would so bad, I thoght Iwas going to die from bleeding so much! I did not want to go to the doc's because I thought I had cancer. I waited and waided. Then I thought I am just lossing way to much bleed and had to go to the ER. At the end of everything and biopsy/ultrasound. It was not cancer at all! It was just my going through premenopause. Thank God! I did mysefe no good guessingwhat I had, just made me terrified and thinkg the worst. So please just go get checked out, I bet it's nothing bad at all:) Good luck and now go see that doc!

Hi I'm 30yrs old. I have an irregular menstration. I haven't had my period for 4 months already. So I decided to use a pill again.  I did have my period, ok BUT the bleeding won't stop anymore. It"s kinda heavy bleeding.

My doctor before adviced me to take some pills to make my period regular. So I followed his advice and it works if I am on pills. If Im not, another 3mos. or so w/o period - if I got my period...it wont stop for months... :(((
