Piercing Vaginal Pains

For the past 2 days, I have been having piercing and sharp pains in my vagina, abdominal/pelvic area. The pains persisted for hours yesterday and strike every couple of minutes. Hoping it's nothing serious, I thought it was gas pain. There was also some relief after I passed a little gas (flatus), and the odorless gas started to come every 5-10 minutes. Now, the pain has continued into another day. I have taken Gas-X, which doesn't seem to be offering relief. The pains feel like a knife is slicing through my vagina, and they occur whether I am sitting, laying, or standing. Does anyone have a clue at all what this might be?

I think that you have something going on in the reproductive region... maybe a vaginal infection... maybe something else. So, why suffer and wait? See a doctor, now!

You know, i want to suggest the name of what i think it may be but i cant for the life of me remember it!

basically its pain/burning/soreness (not all symptoms together but can be i think) that can either occur from touch or by nothing at all but there are no visible signs of a condition, which is why a lot of women come from their doctors feeling frustrated, because the docs imply its all psychological. if i remember ill post it again and you can look it up. it may not be that....could be muscle spasms or cramps.

it may be worth a visit to your doc if the pains dont go away.
