Only your doc can tell you if you need bed rest. I had placenta previa that did not resolve, so I was on bed rest, but I think the percentages are really high that the previa will resolve on its own. Just make sure you have frequent ultrasounds, and they can monitor the previa that way. If you have ANY bleeding, you need to call your doc.
