Plan B

I took Plan b after 9hrs of unprotected sex. I was expecting my period that week. But since I took the pill I know my period would possibly be late. However since the day I took the pill I saw some blood spots on my underwear. today is my third day since I took the pill and I still see some blood spots. Does this mean I could be pregnant? If not when should I expect my period?

I really appreciate your help. It seems life I got my period on time, even though it was a bit lighter and longer. Plus the expected symptoms did not happen…no pain ….but after about ten days I saw a small thick dark blood on my under wear. I sometimes get that kind blood around the end of my regular period. I did a urine pregnancy test and it came out negative, but I’m still freaking out. Do you think this is normal?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The bleeding or spotting that you had is breakthrough bleeding because of the post coital pill. Hence most probably you should get your period at the expected date or may get a bit delayed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
