Pregnancy Symptoms?

I am on here seeking some advice. I am normally a every 28 days gal but as of today my period is over 2 weeks late. I guess I had been so busy I didn't realize this until I noticed that my breasts are very sore. They also seem heavier/fuller. For the past few nights I've had trouble getting comfortable due to my breasts bothering me. I've taken 2 HPT and both said Neg (I took the first response that supposedly tells you 6 days before your period) I took the first one when I realized my period didn't show (that was 6 days after my missed period) I resigned to the fact that I wasn't pregnant. But since then I'm noticing other symptoms: I feel dizzy at times for no reason, a little sick at my stomach occasionally in the afternoons, I am running a slightly higher fever, my heart will occasionally race even while I am sitting down and I feel I can barely catch my breath and I have back pain going from my middle of my back to my lower back. I don't know what to think. I've never missed a period nor have I ever thought I was pregnant and along with all this I often feel pains that resemble the beginning of my period...it also sometimes feels like a bladder or kidney infection trying to surface which I thought was the reason for my constant urge to use the bathroom (which sometimes is successful and sometimes I don't go at all when I feel like I have to) Sorry this is so long-winded. I was hoping that some women out there could tell me if any of these things that I am experiencing are pregnancy symptoms or maybe just signs of my period trying to come on and how reliable HPT really are? Thank you for any advice you can give me...it will be appreciated it very much so! :-)

hpts are fairly reliable. but sometimes your hcg levels arent high enough. it took me about a week and a half to get a positive hpt. you could either wait a few more days and test, or get a blood test which will tell you for sure.

you could be pregnant. it could be pms. you could be getting sick or something. it could be a number of things.

you said youve been busy and usually when people are very busy they are usually stressed. so possibly thats why your periods late as well

Hi Kim, thank you for the response. I will follow your advice and wait to take another HPT if my period doesn't show up...I suppose if it isn't here within a week I will make an app. with my doc to get a blood test done. I have read that stress can cause missed or delayed periods so that could be a possibility as well. Not knowing what's going on is the real kicker. :-) Thank you again and I will keep you posted once I find out anything certain.

I would agree with Kim......what type of hpt did you use? Some are better than others.
Have you started a new exercise regimen? That can also cause a delay. Stress can DEFINITELY do that to you. Keep us informed.

I used the EPT, I think it is the First Response. It said on the package can test 6 days before missed period. I haven't started any new exercise regimen. As far as stress goes, it doesn't seem I've been any stressed than usual..but then again I may not be realizing it. Thank you for all your help. I will keep you informed. Hopefully my period will show up soon.
