Pregnant? Stopped BCP, period cramps &brown/pink discharge

Im almost 21. I'v been on the birth control pill for year & half, changed twice. The last I was on for about 6 months, Dianette. I came off it after the usual 21 days on 2/21, got my withdrawal bleed, & decided not to go back on it (wanted 2 see if it was reason for my weight gain) So based on a 28 day cycle I should have got my period on 3/26 but obviously being on the pill may have thrown it off and I was never that regular, mostly ranged a 30-40 day cycle. Since last week I'v been gettin slight cramping, like period cramps but no period. I seem to be going to toilet more often & earlier today I found slight brown/pink stain on toilet tissue, not enough to stain my underwear. (sorry for graphic details!) Is this normal after coming off the pill? Or is it a sign that I could be pregnant? - implantation bleeding? I

Ok so it turned out just to be my period! Phew! I'd hate to have been pregnant when there are so many other women out there that are ready and deserving of a baby! I'm just not ready yet. Thanks for your help girls (ladies - whatever endearing term you wish!) I kind of hoped i wouldn't have to worry bout periods for a couple of months but i guess i would have just spent my time waiting for it. Seems like i was one of the lucky ones in terms of feeling lousy, etc. Best of luck lovethebops! I hope this is your month. (",) and its nice to know i have somewhere to come and share my problems. God bless the internet!! (",)

No, you are definately Not alone!! I came off the pill 5 months ago and I have been just FINALLY feeling better just now..(OF course, I am waiting to see if I got pregnant this month Cuz I am trying..)But the first 3 month were the WORST!! I thought I was going to die..I felt so horrible mentally and physically. When I went off the first time, I didn't have any horrible withdrawl symptoms, because I got pregnant two week after going off (on purpose)..now I am trying for a second child, and for the past few months have felt just lousy..It did take a while, but I am finally on the mend..Feel better..

Just so you know, I am going through the same thing. I was on the pill for 12 yrs, went off of it in january. I got my period in February, but was supposed to get it March 15th. I got like a couple of brown spots and  a drop of blood. that was it. I took FIVE home pregnancy tests and all negative. I went to the doctor's today. she said it is very normal for your period to be messed up for awhile. she said give it 3-6months for your body to get back to normal. If I were you, I would take a test just to make sure. If it says negative dont worry about it. give it a few more weeks. If you dont get it by then, test again, and call your doctor. Good luck!!!!
